Background
Softion+ is an AI consulting firm specializing in end-to-end AI implementation solutions for growth-stage and enterprise businesses across Southeast Asia. Their core offering strategic AI advisory, custom AI development, and data automation sits at a complex intersection of technology, business strategy, and human trust.Stage 2. Ideation & Conceptualization
Despite a strong portfolio of clients including Balto, Rootchat, and Upercut, Softion+'s existing web presence failed to communicate expertise or credibility at a glance. Prospective clients often CTOs, Heads of Product, and digital transformation leads would arrive at the site and leave within seconds, unable to parse what Softion+ actually did or whether they could be trusted with mission-critical transformation projects.
The challenge was not just visual refresh it was a fundamental information architecture problem disguised as a design one. The team needed to articulate a complex, multi-service offering to skeptical, time-poor decision-makers in a market where AI credibility is still being established.
What challenges did we need to tackle?
Softion+’s value isn’t clearly communicated. Users struggle to see how it differs from typical software agencies. The term ‘AI consulting’ feels generic, with no clear explanation of what makes their approach unique especially their end-to-end implementation.
The content lacked clear hierarchy, with services, capabilities, and use cases blended together. This made it difficult for users to form a clear understanding of Softion+, resulting in high bounce rates and low scroll depth across key pages.
How Might We
How Might We is an open-ended question that helps us discover possible solutions to a problem, without immediately determining the answer.
HMW design a conversion journey that respects the long, relationship-first sales cycle of enterprise AI consulting?
HMW communicate complex AI value to non technical decision makers?

Final Design
This project was a testament to the importance of thorough user research and iterative design in creating solutions that truly meet user needs. It honed my skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and effective communication, setting a solid foundation for my future endeavors in UX/UI design.

What I learned
From this Softion+ project, I learned that good website design isn't just about visual appeal, but about how every visual and structural decision works together to achieve a common goal: building trust and moving people toward a decision. I realized that overly general claims don't convince anyone; it's specific, concrete statements that make a brand like Softion+ stand out and feel trustworthy in a market full of "AI consulting" labels.
And what I've carried with me long after this project is complete: the brief is a protector, not a barrier. When client feedback goes beyond the scope, the brief becomes a neutral negotiating tool, a way to respond without rejecting, and keep the project on track without losing the client's trust.
And when I present a design, I always accompany it with a rationale connected to the brief. The client no longer makes revisions based on personal taste, because we're already thinking within the same framework. A good designer isn't just someone who can create, but someone who can explain why.
